ESTI is looking for a Jr. Network Analyst to join our team in Saskatoon Saskatchewan!

ESTI is looking for Junior Network Analysts to join our team!  We are experiencing demand growth for networking skills and are seeking to hire networking analyst graduates with relevant knowhow and an interest in cross-training within sub-fields of networking (i.e. wireless, data center, and network security).

ESTI executes enterprise-scale network projects in the mining, healthcare, telco, government, utilities, education, research, and financial sectors.  Our team consists of highly-certified professionals in the areas of enterprise network and data center.  Our new Junior Network Analyst will perform their skills under the mentorship of this team.

** Local experience is a preferred asset, but we are always interested in individuals from across Canada. While international experience can be an asset, we require candidates to have Canadian work experience, and currently reside in Canada. **

 

What will you do?

  • Learn evolving Cisco, VMware, Dell, Palo-Alto, Equinix and Ekahau technologies.
  • Configure and deploy networks using a combination of physical appliances, virtual appliances, and public cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot network related issues using various tools and technologies at your disposal.
  • Carry a laptop, a phone and a tool bag.
  • Survey wireless coverage using specialized tools and technologies.
  • Rack, stack and cable gear in climate-controlled data centers.
  • Rack, stack and cable gear in challenging environments (underground, mills, production facilities, or inside an industrial boring machine).
  • Travel, typically within western Canada.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in the field of computer networking is an asset.
  • CCNA will be an asset.
  • Understanding of OSI model, IP routing and switching theory, TCP/UDP protocol operations, L2 frame and L3 packet forwarding, is required.
  • Experience in configuring routers and switches.
  • Experience in IP Subnetting.
  • Understanding of Layer-3 Routing Protocols.
  • Knowledge in designing and deploying wireless infrastructure will be an asset.
  • Knowledge in networking security, technologies, and protocols, is preferable.
