CLIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER - EDMONTON



ESTI is looking for a Client Account Manager to join our Edmonton team!

ESTI helps clients build technology solutions. We're software developers, systems and network architects, project delivery specialists - and we are also Client Account Managers who are an integral part of ESTI's fabric.

To help drive what we do, ESTI is looking for a Client Account Manager in Edmonton who can anticipate client needs before even the client might know what they are. The successful candidate will go that "extra mile" to secure sales, and ensure the utmost client satisfaction. Our clients are what have made ESTI successful for 30 years, and they mean a lot to us.

The primary focus of this position is to continue to build the solid reputation of ESTI Consulting Services for being the top IT consulting company in the prairies. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing current relationships with current ESTI clients, strategic vendor partners, and attracting new clients by matching and providing IT business solutions that meet the client's needs.

As the Client Account Manager, you are an important member of our high performing business development team and focused on helping our clients meet their business goals through the provision of Information Technology solutions. This role will be attractive to those who have a passion for working as part of a team but can also meet confidently one on one with a client.

** Local experience is a preferred asset, but we are always interested in individuals from across Canada. While international experience can be an asset, we require candidates to have Canadian work experience, and currently reside in Canada. **

What will you do day to day?

  • Use a relationship based approach to deepen your understanding of our client's business and continually look for ways to improve our service to our clients.
  • Manage all sales accounts for a geography, achieve sales quotas, expand business sales to existing clients, and continually expand new client base.
  • Identify the appropriate solutions expert within the ESTI consulting team or appropriate vending partner and act as the interface to ensure the connection to the clients and their needs.
  • Ensure that solutions are delivered and that ESTI is providing maximum value to our clients.
  • Remain engaged with the client, vendor and solution delivery process to ensure understanding of the components, requirements, scaling options, and vendor support process.
  • Be responsible for building the team within the geography you are responsible for, and effectively manage your team. In association with the responsible ESTI partners, recruitment activities, office management and team leadership activities will be an important responsibility.
  • Continually seek innovative ways to meet client's IT business goals and through sustained interest and genuine concern.
  • Display your superior ability to build business partnerships and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors and to turn these relationships into business opportunities.
  • Plan and achieve targeted sales goals.
  • Prioritise tasks, assign tasks, to appropriate and responsible team me members and perform multiple activities simultaneously; in our shared resource structure, assignment of tasks to resources will require a close working relationship with resource leads in other ESTI offices.
  • Lead and manage a team with integrity, enthusiasm and authority.
  • Assist IT departments with developing and presenting formal business cases back to the businesses.
  • Improve overall sales performance within a very proactive sales plan.
  • You will be interested in ongoing learning and education about new products.
  • You will have access to a vehicle, possess a valid drivers license, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, technology, relevant professional designation or significant similar experience.
  • 3+ years experience in an IT sales environment or related capacity. Thorough knowledge and familiarity with technology including Oracle, Dell-EMC, VMWare, Cisco, and associated industry providers would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with local IT client market would be a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, growing, and managing a team.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, takes initiative, and possess the ability to work independently.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Skillful presentation abilities, and exceptional people skills; displays a positive and professional attitude and takes personal pride and responsibility for the impact this role has on the success of ESTI and ESTI's clients.
