Data Conversion

ESTI has successfully completed a variety of data conversion projects in diverse environments. Conversions have been performed on various data stores (e.g. DBase, DB 2, Foxpro, RDB, SQLBase, Access, Oracle) operating on equally diverse platforms (e.g. UNIX, VAX, Novell, Microsoft, Linux).

We believe a solid strategy must be developed before conversion to a new platform or structure is undertaken. Forethought allows the conversion team to understand the data, build the necessary programs, and then provide an environment in which the programs can be tuned and refined just as for any application. Good data allows the development of a good system.

We believe strongly in providing a solid framework around the data conversion process, so much so that we have developed our own documented conversion methodology. We believe this allows us to repeat excellent results each and every time.
