Chris completed his honours degree in computer science at the University of Saskatchewan in the fall of 2009 with a minor in history studies. He excelled at web development, database design, and mobile/ubiquitous computing. He joined the ESTI team on Sept 4th, 2009.
Particular areas of interest to Chris are computer security and information privacy. His honours project involved determining the viability of using probabilities and categorization to protect computer systems from software threats. Chris enjoys reading and learning about military history which influenced his choice in minor.
Born in Saskatoon, Chris has attended all of his schooling in his home town. While attending Mount Royal High School, he was the lead sound technician for any event, pep rally or production that needed it. He also spent plenty of time working on various video productions over those four years including the year end video for his graduating class.
Chris has many hobbies which he engages in but the most important one is soccer. For the past 15 years, Chris has played soccer in the keeper position. He is also an electronic hobbyist spending some of his free time with a soldering iron in hand and working on electrical circuits. Other interests include watching wrestling on TV, golf, video games and film production.
